Mr. Dharshan Silva is a finalist [ Strategic case study level ] at Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK and also possess a distinction pass for Diploma in Computer System Design from National Institute of Business Management in Colombo. He is also a qualified as a Registered Investment Analyst at Capital Market Education and Training Institute of Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka and also the first president of its alumnae. He has also successfully completed a course in TOT [ Training of Trainers ] in micro finance with University of Frankfurt (In collaboration with Institute of Bankers in Sri Lanka ) and after words conducted lectures at Institute of Bankers as visiting lecturer in micro finance . In addition to local training he had also participated in overseas training in leasing / Management. His overall exposure in overseas are in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand, UAE, UK and USA. He is currently reading for a MBA.
Mr. Dharshan accounts more than 30 years of experience and 20 years primarily was in marketing in Lease products and has gathered extensive experience in working in all districts of Sri Lanka.
Prior to joining MRFL, he has served at Arpico Finance Company PLC as COO. During his tenure of work at Arpico Finance, also performed a duel role as AGM ( Regional Financial Services) at Alliance Finance Company PLC and played a key role in contributing to the improvement of the overall profitability and growth of both companies from (2009 – 2014).
Prior to this from 1995 to 2009 he was with Commercial Leasing company PLC [ CLC ] where he had his longest career track record. He joined the CLC as a Credit Officer and redesigned as Account Manager in 1998. Since then he was promoted as Manager Marketing in 2001, Manager Marketing and Operations in 2004, Senior Manager Marketing and operations in 2006 , and finally Assistant General Manager Marketing in year 2006. After LOLC group took over the CLC was given a new position as Assistant General Manager [ asset Backed Finance ] in 2008. During his stay at CLC company went through many mile stones including portfolio and profit growth of more than 100%.
From 1994 to 1995 he was at DFCC Bank as MIS Consultant, and from 1986 to 1994 was at MBSL Bank as Systems analyst / Programmer.
Apart from above he had been a visiting lecturer to Asian Center for Lease Education.
Mr Ravindra Ranjith is the Deputy General Manager – Asset Finance who is an Associate of Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka who has completed 40 years in Banking and Finance.
Prior to joining MRFL he has worked at Commercial Bank of Ceylon Ltd, L B Finance Ltd, Sampath Bank Ltd, National Development Bank PLC, Nationwide Microbank Ltd in Papua New Guinea, Sarvodaya Finance Ltd, Summit Finance Ltd, and Sanasa Development Bank PLC.
He has served as Head of Credit Supervision at Sampath Bank, Assistant Vice President and Head of Auto Finance at NDB Bank, Chief Operating Officer at the Microbank (PNG), Chief Executive Officer at Sarvodaya Development Finance Ltd and dual role as Acting CEO of Summit Finance which was a subsidiary of Sarvodaya Finance and Deputy General Manager – Head of Business at SDB Bank, prior to take up the current assignment.
Mr Ranjith has extensive experience in Lending from Micro to Corporates in Retail Lending, Development Banking, Leasing/HP and SME Lending. He is also an expert in Credit Control, Branch Operations, Process Mapping, Process re-engineering, Recoveries & Supervised Credit, Deposit Mobilization, Sales & Marketing and Mobile Money.
. He served as the Project Director/Architect of the first bank-led mobile money solution in the South Pacific for MiCash of the Microbank which was adjudged as the “Most Innovative Company’ in 2012.
Ms. Dineka Withanachchi holds a Masters of Business Administration Degree in Finance from the University of Colombo and a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Accountancy from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a finalist of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) - UK.
Having completed her articles at KPMG, in a wide spectrum of industries including quoted and multinational companies, she was a Senior Audit Supervisor at the time of leaving KPMG in 2005. She has over seven years of experience at Commercial Leasing & Finance Ltd., where she progressed up to Chief Manager - Finance. Her exposure covers the fields of financial management, tax management, strategic and financial planning, IFRS implementation, project management and operational management. She has been actively involved in the designing and implementation of Core Leasing, Deposits and Factoring Systems and Oracle ERP Solution implementation.
